Malibu News: Catalina Fire

A raging fire is burning out of control on Catalina island. At this point over 4,000acres have been burned. Santa Clarita is an island that is visible by most coastal areas in southern California. Reports say that the fire is still burning due to high winds.

Cox-Arquette Mansion for Sale

David Arquette-Cox and wife Courtney Cox (because come on, who where's the pants there? We know it's not Deputy Dewey) are listing their newly renovated home on Carbon Beach for Sale. Here's the kick in the pants, they are selling this home for more than 3 times what they paid for it. They purchased the half acre, 4,500sqft home on Carbon Beach for a mere 9.1mil. Now they've decided to turn and make an enormous profit by listing it for 33.5 million!

CROOKS?

According to TMZ, N'SYNC and Jive Records being sued for using "similar lyrics" to that of Troy Alexander who showed his song to Jive Records in the early 90s. N'Sync's song was released in 2001 and they have made serious bank (upwards of 10mil) from it as well as used it on their tour.

Actually quote the Paris forevermore. Paris Hilton was just sentenced to 45 days in jail for driving with a suspended license. Driving with a suspended license is the least of her offenses. What about arresting her for a horrible performance in House of Wax. How about putting the cuffs on for that scandalous nightvision home movie she made? Or maybe, just maybe arrest her for the wreckless driving she was doing in the first place that suspended her license!

Hasselhoff, though probably still drunk, still wants to entertain. Claiming that the video was not leaked intentionally, Hasselhoff was asked if he intends go back to rehab. To which, David simply replied "I'm entirely too hung over to talk anymore, please leave my multi-million dollar palace that baywatch and my German singing career built".


After witnessing the Hasselhoff drunken video , fans are wondering why he signed a 5 year advertising contact with Heineken.

UPDATE: My Vacation

So I was obviously gone this week, hence the no updates. I took a much needed and well deserved Malibu beach weekend.


Speaking of Malibu Beaches. Last week Pamela Anderson was seen posing at Zuma Beach in her Baywatch swimsuit. Rumors are floating that Television's popular hit TV show may be coming back.

Rosie can't cup it...

That's a really akward picture! Well, that's pretty much it for Rosie. Of course we have all heard that this big mouth is leaving the view due to "financial reasons". Uh huh. Rosie demanded $10mil for 1 yr while the studio offered $6mil for 3yrs. That's a pretty big price difference and I never saw them getting past it. Next up? Rosie recommends Whoopie Goldberg, my recommendation (drum roll please): Donald Trump. Come on, how much more controversy can that show handle? I'd like to see.

Caveman Comedy

We've recently been told that the Geico Cavemen will be getting their own television show. The commercials have been so popular that these cavemen are getting a sitcom.


Success? No way. For 30 seconds these guys are hilarious. Sure you could base a sit-com off of these light hearted characters but it won't last. ABC is grasping at straws at this point. They're funny, just not that funny.

Starbucks to invade Malibu

It's an invasion! Look out! Starbucks (currently 2 stores in Malibu) has conquered all of the local markets and is now trying to buy the entire town. Putting Diedrichs coffee (as seen in Jamie Kennedy's Malibu's Most Wanted) out of business was just step one. Now they intend to build three more stores in our small community.

The Logo above should be the new one, insinuating that they are in fact trying to take over the world. And yes, for those of you who don't know, they own seattle's best coffee so beware! Also ugly celebrities like Lindsay Lohan drink starbucks, that should be illegal cause it's bad for their image. She's so addicted she even got a tattoo, no surprise. Word has it that she has to pay SBUX royalties on it.

24 Months

It seems like 24 is taking much longer than usual to finish this season. Now listen, I'm a big 24 fan but it has gone downhill...bigtime. Jack Bauer used to save the world with one hand tied behind his back, a couple of episodes ago he got hit by a freaking lacky over the head and went down (right after he singlehandedly took down the terrorist cell). Now Audrey is back but it doesn't matter because she is going to be really upset to find out that her man of steel turned in to a man who can't kill. This series better come up with an action-packed episode in order to keep the fans.

We Remember...

It was Marlon Brando's documentary premiere and the celebs were out. Brooke Shields, Ann Miller, Donna Mills, Doris Roberts, Gene Simmons, Harry Dean Stanton, Jack Klugman, James Caan, Jon Lovitz, Katherine Kramer, Penelope Ann Miller, Russell Means, and Stella Stevens were all in attendance. So was yours truly. Malibeeje experienced it all first hand and is willing to answer questions on the event.
